Raw Materials

Main Syrian competitive textiles and apparel products are based on

the Syrian world wide known cotton, some synthetic yarns are also

produced locally in good quality.

Below is a brief outline of the raw material frequently available on

the local market.

Yarns

- Cotton, combed and carded, ring and OE, counts 8 to 40 Ne.

- Acrylic spun yarn, locally produced and imported.

- Polyester, textured, flat and Spun, locally finished and imported.

- Viscose, spun counts 16 to 40 Ne., locally finished and imported.

- Modal (Lenzing) counts 16 to 60 Ne., locally finished and imported.

- Fancy, chenille, wool, angora and cashmere yarn, imported.

The above yarns are available in 100% or mixed.

Knitted Fabrics

Most knitted fabric structures are available

Single jersey, plain, mini jacquard, and electronic jacquard, diam. 14” to 34”, gauge 18 to 24, 120 gr/m2 up to 220 gr/m2.

Rib (fine or double), diam. from 14” to 34”, gauge 16 and 18, 150 gr/m2 to 280 gr/m2.

Interlock (double jersey) diam. from 14” to 34”, gauge 18 to 28.

Terry diam. 24” to 34”, gauge 20, 22 and 24

Fleece 3 thread, diam. 24” to 34”, gauge 20, 22 and 24

Pique diam. 30”, gauge 18 to 24.

Elasthan yarn (Lycra) can be added to all above mentioned fabrics.

- Reactive dye is available, Azo free, color fastness according to ISO 105.

- Miscellaneous finishing effects are available.

Accessories and Finishing.

-   Allover prints (fabric print) up to 8 colors, Plastisol or water-based ink.

-   Motive (screen) print up to 12 colors, Plastisol or water-based ink.

-   Heat Transfer prints up to 12 colors.

-   Embroidery up to 12 colors.

-   Most zippers, buttons, press buttons, cords, strass and applications

   are available.

-   Woven and printed labels up to 8 colors.

-   Printed packing material (hangtag, photo insert, stickers,

poly bag etc..) is available in professional quality, mono and offset printing

as well hologram printing.
